WINNER – Highly Commended Award in 2015 Master Builders Awards.

Ran down and outdated, the former Southern Cross Austereo premises no longer reflected their vibrant brand and business culture. The new fitout relocated two radio stations, Triple M and Hit 107, and created an environment that is fun, engaging, entertaining, and showcases the individual identities and personality of the radio stations.

The project also includes a comprehensive list of complex and challenging technical and acoustic requirements. The scope of works was divided into two main areas, Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH). The FOH consists of a secure foyer entry for waiting and reception, an open staff café and flexible boardroom. The BOH is completely secure, accessed by finger print readers and monitored by a 24 hour CCTV system. The front half of the BOH includes open plan workstations, offices, meeting rooms, IT work points and staff breakouts to accommodate a diverse range of activities. The remaining BOH houses the technical requirements, including On Air and News Studios, Producers Area, Content stations/news preparation, remote talent studios/booths and news desk.
