Cook Building have recently completed the build of a collaborative study space specially designed for Scotch College’s Agriculture students. The 150m2 room is completed with stainless benchtops, epoxy-coated floors, and a cool room – features essential for activities such as wine making and food production. Externally, the building is fully wrapped in Stratco cladding, and a hardwood fence and planter boxes feature prominently. A shed has also been built to store farm machinery for the school’s fully-functioning agriculture farm.

Located near the main entrance of the school, with a very tight access, student and staff safety was Cook Building’s top priority. Prior to works commencing, the project team extensively assessed all possible risks and ensured appropriate controls were in place so that no student or staff were subjected to potential hazards, and regular site inspections were carried out to ensure that any new risks were effectively controlled.
